Uses of a Virtual Photobooth
We see the virtual photobooth being used in a few main ways;
- engaging customers via social media
- a bit of fun for employees during Zoom, or Microsoft Teams meetings
- virtual conferences
The ability to have a competition will greatly enhance take-up from your clients and employees. Perhaps a winning prize could include, or be a donation to charity.
Being browser based the booth can run on smartphones, tablets, laptops and desktops so there is no excuse for not taking part!
To distribute the booth simply send out a link that we provide and away you go. We can even track the number of clicks on the link.
Branding is obviously important and there are a number of ways that we can add this;
- on the photo template itself
- banner on the booth screen (clickable)
- background of the booth screen
- social media mini banners (at the bottom of the screen)
- when the guest retrieves the link
How it Works
The virtual photobooth works in a really simple way and we have found that most people can use it without any problems.

The process is as follows;
- click the link we provide
- click the ‘Take Photo’ button
- Retake the photo is you wish
- Upload to the gallery

Types of Images
There are three options available (you choose 1 ,2 or 3 options);
- STILL PHOTO – this option has allows the guest to use a virtual background without green screen. These can be chosen by you.
- FOUR PHOTO GIF – 4 photos are taken and stitched together to create a GIF
- BOOMERANG STYLE GIF – between 10 and 16 photos are stitched together to create a looping back and forth GIF
You can choose which of these options to have running at your event. So if you just want to have still photos taken, or just GIFs that is up to you.
Background Removal
This is an option available for your virtual photobooth – you don’t need to run with it.
If you choose this option then our system will remove the background from being the person being photographed.
They will then be superimposed onto a virtual background.
You can supply backdrops, or ask us to source them – and you aren’t limited to just one backdrop, you can have multiple.
Additionally, you can choose to have Background Removal running on certain types of images, eg. only still photos.
(we use a specialised third party service for this which is charged for)
Virtual Props (or stickers) for your Virtual Photobooth
What would a photobooth be without props?
With our Virtual Photobooth, we don’t use physical props but use virtual ones instead – also known as stickers.
Virtual props will be selected to be appropriate for your event, so for Halloween think pumpkins, witches etc.
Within reason, you can have as many as you need, just let us know.
Add your colleagues or guests into your photo
Guests for your event may be remote but with this feature you can add colleagues and fellow guests into your photos.
Everyone who has their photo taken with ‘background removal’ is then available to for others to add them to their photo!
This is a great fun function and liked enormously by guests.
Competition mode – to drive engagement
Just like a scratchcard – but virtually
This is a great way to encourage take-up and participation and is an optional extra to the virtual photobooth.
Once the photo or GIF has been;
- sent via email or
- sent via text
a competition screen opens with a virtual scratch card.
We have various options to change the win parameters to ensure your budget for prizes is capped.
You can, of course, run your own competition, such as;
- best fancy dress
- most creative
- funniest
etc, etc.
Branding
If this is a corporate event then branding becomes very important.
We will either;
- work with your designers
- create the branding ourselves for your sign-off
The branding encompasses;
- the photo template
- background to the virtual photobooth
- the galleries

Live Galleries
The great thing about virtual photobooths is that everyone can see everyone else’s photos!
We provide a link to the live gallery and guests can browse the photos, GIFs and Boomerangs.
It’s a great way to keep your audience engaged with the booth. When guests see a good image they will often try and better it.
